How Apple won the heart of a little girl for the rest of her life?

Apple has been always referred as the best customer service provider in the technology industry. The company stays strong in the first place in the ranking of companies offering excellent customer service.

To demonstrate how genuine this ranking is, there is an interesting story about how an Apple store manager made a risky exception to please a 10 year old girl.

The girl was an Apple Ipod touch fan and she had saved her birthday money and every penny during almost 9 months so that she could finally buy one. The day the little girl found that she had enough money to buy the Apple Ipod, she headed to the nearby Apple store with her mother. When they arrived at the store, two friendly Apple employees greeted them at the door but did not allow them in as the store was about to close.

The mother with the Mason jar full of cash in her arms explained why they absolutely needed to get in. The employees apologized but could not let them in. Both mother and daughter understood and made their way to another store in the mall. About three stores down, an Apple employee raced after them and explained that the store manager was going to make an exception and let them in.

When they finally stepped into the Apple store, every single employee paused at what they were doing and looked at the little girl with admiration as she approached the register. As she took all of the cash out of the Mason jar, one employee stepped forward and said, “I don’t mean to bother you, but I have to tell you that this made my day.”
After the transaction was made, they were on their way out when the store manager suddenly raised his voice and said to all employees, “Everyone, please give a round of applause to this great little girl for saving her own money and buying an iPod today.”
The little girl was caught a little off guard by all of the attention and waved goodbye. With such a simple gesture Apple won its little customer’s heart for life.
